MR. A. M'NICOL ADDRESSES AN ENTHUSIASTIC GATHERING. The Government candidate for Pahiotua, Mr. A. M'Nicol, addressed a crowded meeting of his constituents at tho King's Theatre, Pahiatua, last evening The proceedings were very .enthusiastic, and the speaker was acco'ixM a sympathetic reception, Mr. M'Nicol mado a strong appeal to the electors to give tihdir utmost support to the Reform Government, and at the conclusion of his ad<h-oss ho was vigorously applauded. ' On. tho motion of Dr. Patterson, seconded by Mr. MlGregor, tho candidate was accorded a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence. In speaking to the motion, Mr. White-Scott stated that hi, had supported the Liberal Party for twenty years, but he was now determined to support Mr. M'Nicol on tho grounds that he was a young New Zealauder. The meeting was attended by people from all parts of tho district, and judging by present indications, states our correspondent, tho return of the Roform candidate is practically, assured.
