V FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The Petone Borough Council held its fortnightly meeting last night, when (here were present: The Mayor (Mr. .7. W. M'Ewan) and Councillors E. 'i'ovev, G. Cook, W. Tho borough engineer, Lower Hutt, asked for an additional four-tenths of gas pressure to ensure that the pressure at Wakefield Street bo maintained as nearly as possible uniformly at i inches during the maximum hours of consumption.
