Previous to'' tho above tally (373) John Hoppy hold tho worlds iecord with 3GI sheep shorn _ at Mrs. Porker's, Waitahorn, Dannevirke, last year. Tho record figures were wit up with ewes and lambs, the grand tola! of four shearers being 1296. The other shearers were R. T. Pattison 311, ft-. Hotcreni 309, B. Chase 303.
