ME, E. P. RISIIWORTH AT WHITEMAN'S VALLEY. Mr. John Whileniau presided over a good attendance, of. electors of Whiteman's .Valley last night? In opening, Mr. R.ishwortli particularly stressed the fact that his chances were improving every day, and drew the . attention ol' the audience to the solid' programme of progressive development offered in the manifesto issued by Mr. Massev. compared with the flimsy proposals which were being feverishly mad* l by the Liberal leader and supported by his followers. He pointed out that tho promise of a railway at Maryborough, and similar attractions to voters were tho stock-in-trade of tho Liberal Party. In conclusion, ho mentioned that tho Liberal candioate in his electorate was reduced to a pitiful wail about vote-split-ting. when ho knew perfectly well that ho had always been opposed by a Reform candidate, and at tho present time he was attempting by every, means to win the Labour vote, which lie professed to despise. A voto of thanks was carriod unanimously. and an appreciation of the Massey party by acclamation.
