PUNITIVE OPERATIONS.' Derthi, December 9. An operation in. Mesopotamia against Zibari Kurds, who attacked Agra and Mosul on November 3, having the previous day murdered Mr. Bill and Captain Scott, of the 31st Punjabis, whilst on an inspection, was conducted by two ..oluinns. The. country was very difficult, but the health of the troops was good, and the casualties insignificant. Punishment for the murder was exacted, and civil administration restored.—Aus.-N.Z.
