PUBLIC SCHOOLS' TOURNAMENT. On Tuesday at Brougham Hill the public I schools' tourJinment was advanced to the final stacos. -under tiie guidance of Miss Praser and Mr. \Y. J Melody. Many ot the games were keenly contested, and several prospective finalists succumbed to lesser liahts. A feature of the day's tournament was the splendid play of the boys from Island Bav and Lyall Bay, and of the eirls from Lower Hutt.
