[ They are remembering their hopes and amj bitions as they watched the young life uni fold into strong, clean boyhood—their I confidence, a little touched'with anxiety, J as they thought of the going 'out into life to face its battles and temptations. And they are thinking to-day of how their ] hopes were shattered. They are remembering the sickening dread and shame with which they first knew that their boyhood came under the influence of the fell power which increased its hold as days passed and slowly but surely degraded him. , It began in almost every case with the | "social glass."
