FORTHCOMING TOURNAMENT. Last nighi; a meeting of the Wellington. Bowling Centre was held, ifr. G. Hendry_being in tho chair. Mr. E. J. Hill was appointed delegate to tho Dominion bowling conference to bo held at Christchurch on January 12. A letter was received from tho Dominion Association .giving notice of a motion to bo moved at the conference with regard to tho paying of levies, clauso 15, substituting February 1 for November 1. The centre expressed confidence ill this, mid they also agreed with tho motion ■with regard to- tho notices of meetings (clauso 11), substituting 21 days' notice for 10 days, Rule 13 provides five delegates from each island, but a motion of increasing this to six delegates is to be moved at t!io conference. Tho centre had no coniidcnco in. this motion. Another motion will provido that tho president ot a centre could not hold tho position of president of tho Dominion council, but the -cuiitro also disagreed-with this. Mr. Hill moved, and Mr. Robertson seconded: "That all bowls played in the tournament must bear tho D.B.A. or N.Z.B.A. skimp, nnd that green umpires be instructed to examine bowls each day before commencement of play." The motion we,s, carried.
