His Mniesty congratulated the Prince on forginc a new link between Canada and the Mother Country. His Majesty expressed mat appreciation at the cordial, even affectionate, welcome the Prince had received from the Government, and people in Washington and New York. -It had always been his earnest wish that the relations between the two great Euglishsneakimr nations should be of the closest and most friendly nature, and that they should work together for tile good of civilisation and mankind. lie trusted Iho Prince's visit would assist to that end.
The Prijice of Wales, replying, eaid the lour had only intensified his desiro to see more of the Empire. He looked' forward keenly to visiting Australia and New Zealand. South Africa, and India carlv in the future.—Router.
