SCHOOL COMMITTEES' ASSOCIATION

A nieeting of the School Committees' Association was held last night. Mr. W. Wallace, president, occupied the chair. Tho secretnry reported having communicated with the Education Board regarding an insurance policy to cover school 'committee members. Mr. H. Brenfon Rule wrote resigning ihis position on the executive owing to his removal to Hastings. Hi was decided to convey tho ns?ociation's thanks to Mr. Rule for his past valuable services on behalf of education in Wellington. Mr. Watts was welcomed as a irew delegate. A deputation from the Town Planning Association waited on the .association urging support towards getting better playgrounds for school children. Id was reeolvcd that the association should go into recess until the second Monday in February. It was resolved that discussion on. Wiß Education Board's defence be held over until later. Mr. Startup reported on the town-planning business. Mr. Fuller was elected a vicepresident.
