Mr. Massoy said tlml; Canterbury had done more than other land districts in the settlement of soldiers. The Government had placed IWH) men on. the country land in the Dominion, and 2COO in bouses in the cities. Not even Wie British Government had done as well. i The Government never bought at extortionate p'iees. The railway matter would ho discussed in Wellington. He would also go into. tho question of gratuity anomalies.
