MARAUDERS RAVAGING THE COUNTRY

(By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright Paris, December 1. The agent of one of the greatest rural proprietors in South Russia states that the whole country is in an incredible state of disorder. Denikin's army is well disciplined, but civil government docs not exist outside a radius of soven miles from its headquarters. Marauding lands, composed of deserters from the liclslioviki, and from Petlura's andDqnikin's armies, are ravaging the whole country. Some of their leaders are ambitious to form small kingdoms, but tho majority of the tends are small,, and are merely searching for plunder. Money has disappeared, and a system of barter has supplanted the use "of the rouble, which has no real value. It ia likely that Ukrainia and South Russia will drift into a sort of economic feudalism, unless somo central authority is estab-lislled.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.'
