LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Murray. Roberts and Co.. Ltd.. have received the following cablejram from their London agciilii, Messrs. .Sanderson. Murray and Co., dated December I:—The wool sales havo opened; crossbred (coarse) declined 5 per cent.; crossbred, modium and fine, market firm.
Messrs. Dalgety ar.d Company, Ltd., are in receipt of tho following cablegram from their London house, dated December 1:— Wool: The attendance of buyers :it the sale is large, and competition animated, with an average selection, Merinos generally are from par to 5 per cent, higher. Fine medium crossbred unchanged. All crossbreds are very firm, and prices are unchanged except for coarse, dingy and cottcd crossbreds, wkicli arc 5 r.cr cent, lower compared with last sale's closing rates.

QUEENSLAND INSIJ.UA.XCE COMPANY. The animal report of the Queensland Insurance Company, Ltd., states tha.t the revenue account shows that tho year's operations have resulted in a profit of £45,182 ss. 7d., after transferring £75,000 to reserve fund, leaving, with Uio balance of £3112 ss. 9d. carried forward from last year, an amount to the credit of revenue account of £48,254 Us. 4<1., which tho directors propoeo to appropriate as follows: —To payment of 10 per cent, dividend on Hie capital of tho company, £35,000; to payment of SJ per cent, bonus on the capital of tho coinpany, £8750; to balaneo carried forward, '£4544 Us. 4d.; total. £48,294 Us. 4d. Two vacancies are caused .m the board of directors by the retirement of Mr. P. G. lilac!: and the lion.
