SINN FEIN DECLINE
OUTRAGES CAUSE REVULSION OF FEELING FINAL OUTBREAK EXPECTED By Tolcgraph—Press Association—Copyright London, November 20. Everyone is 011 tlio alert, and expects a mild revolutionary outbreak in Ireland. The authorities and the majority of the people almost hope that a climax will come soon. Lives will be lost, and property will bo destroyed, but an outbreak will mean tho Extremists reaching tho end of their resources. The authorities have 110 doubt that there is a rift in the ranks of the Sinn Fein concerning the policy of outrage and murder. 'Die Moderates, at a recent meeting of the Dnileirann (Irish Parliament) announced the cowardly killing of Dolicemen, and the brutalities indicted 011 women and old men in connection with tho searches for firearms. The Irish Volunteers-now form a compact secret society. Four regiments, completely equipped and officered, exist in Dublin alone, and their strength elsewhere'is proportionate. Members and officials of the Dnileirann were forced to take the seditious oath prescribed for the volunteers. The authorities believe that the Sinn Fein, in spite of the bludgeoning of the Motferates. is increasingly antagonising -the labourites, farmers, and small shopkeepers— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
