"EIVERY person (not being a mili- _ tary defaulter or disqualified from voting by Section 38 of the Legislature Act, lilflii) who luts served beyond the seas as a member of an Expeditionary Force i.s entitled to vote at, the General Election and the Lieeiising Poll), whether ho is registered as an elector or not. Maori members of an Expeditionary Force a.i'e entitled to voto at tlio General Election for tho election nj Maori members only, but are entitled to voto at the Licensing Poll, 2. Members who nro enrolled as electors are subject- in all respects to the provisions applicable to ordinary electors, except that (hey may vote, oeyond tho boundaries of the district for which they aro registered without boing required to produce an absent, voter's permit on production of the documentary evidenco referred to in tho paragraph following. 3. Members who aro not; enrolled as electors, or who, toeing no enrolled, desire to vote outside their districts without an absent voter's permit, must produce at the polling-place documentary evidence that they have served beyond the seas as members of an Expeditionary Force. Any of the following classes of documents will be accepted as sufficient:— (it) A certificate of discharge from tho Expeditionary Force after service beyond tho seas; or (b) A leuvo certificate, hospital certificate. or other status certificate issued by a competent military authority. 4. Any member who is not enrolled as an elector may vote as an elector of— (a) The electoral district (as existing at tho date of the election) within which ho wits resident at the dato of his first becoming a member of an Expeditionary Force; or (b) Any electoral district within which lie Juts resided for not less than one month since his last return to New Zealand from servico beyond the seas.
