DROUGHT BREAKING
HEAVY RAINS IN NEW SOUTH WALES. Sydney, Deceiwber 3. There havo been further heavv rains in tho Eastern part of the State, and there are indications of an extension of tho falls to the Far West.
The Government Meteorologist states that there is every reason to believe that the drought will bo broken this month, which will be followed by good supplementary rains.
The rains are of a monsoonal character. Over six inches have been recorded in some of the coastal districts, and in a few diT nrens the fall is over two inches. The wheat areas, with a few exceptions, have had good falls, hut they will not benefit to the same extent as if the rain had come a few weeks earlier.—Press Assn.
