THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for strong but decreasing southerly winds, -eerinß to westerlies, shortly in and southward of Cook Strait. Weather cold and changeable, with scattered showers in the northern and liiist Coast districts, but a temporary improvement may he expected toon. Ilaromctcr vising, but fall in the south after about 24 hours. The barometer has risen'everywhere, and high and squally southerly winds have prevailed. Cold, unsettled weather has ruled with heavy showers in many parts, but conditions have moderated somewhat to-day. B. V. PKMnERTON. Meteorological Office. Wellington, December 3, 1919.
