The fourth round of the AVellington championship was completed ct Alcock's rooms last night, when two games wero played. The first was between Tucker ami Harrison, and resulted in a win for Tucker, the final scores reading: Tucker, :i(W; Harrison, 2-'l!l. The bosl breaks were: Tucker, 4-2, 32, 20; Harrison, 25. 21, 21.
The second game was between the two Petone clubmates, Brieo and Corson. Tho latter, player is a new aspirant for championship honours, and showed to great advantage at times, his play at all-round billiards being exceedingly good. The final scores were: Brice. 3(1(1; Corson, 2St. The best breaks were: Brice, 37. 22; Corson, 27, 25, 21-, 20. To-night the semi-finals will bo played, when at 7 o'clock Tucker, of the Federal Club, meets Stone, of the Petone Club; and at 8 o'clock. Key, of the Wellington AVorkingnien's Club, meets Briec, of the Petone Club. Tho final of 500 up will lake place on Thursday night. A. DTG BREAK. Clark M'Conachy, the Tiniaru billiardist, who has been for some time in Australia, playing in a match in Auckland on Monday, made a break of 73!). This is believed to bo the highest break yet made under similar conditions in Sow Zealand.
