Moreover, tho quantities have been small, ami at recent quotations oats continue nnn, os. per bushel being obtainable at country stations for A grade Cartons Algerians and Duns. An offer at ss. 3d. was declined for a good lino of Duns, which are in very short supply. Holders anticipate a further advanco in values. A firm demand is also maintained for chaff which is in request from the North Island. Up to £7 15s. per ton is obtainable at country stations, with no marked disposition on tho part of holders to 6ell. There is little wheat offering.
