AN ADJUSTMENT COMMITTEE. New York, November 25. The New York "Times" correspondent at Ottawa says thai: Canadian mainifacfurers have aske<i the Federal Government to appoint a permanent Advisory Committee to investigate and readjust Hie tariff in order to meet the chancing conditions at homo and abroad. They have also requested that the proposed revision following the Federal Cabinet's inquiry should bo postponed. The.Government has- assented to the first request, but has refused the other, claiming that it is pledged to a. tariff revision in the. next sessioi of Parliaments and would carry out its promise.—Aus.-N.Z.
