A consignment of fifty tons of sugar which was intended for dispatch to New Plymouth from Onelnmga by the steamer llimu to-day was not placed on boardj tlio waterside workers refusing to handle it on account of the fact, it. is stated, that there-is a shortage of eugnr in Onehunga, with the result that in como cases it was impossible to obtain supplies during the week-end.
