Mr. A._ It. Illingworth, PostmasterGeneral, in reply, said that the pressure which existed on the cables during the war had not yet ceased, r.nd the risk of error in transmission exceeded tho normal. There was no reason to think that the percentage of errors had greatly inrreascd. Tho cable authorities concerned were making every effort to improve holh (ho accuracy nnd Iho rapidity of tho service.—Aiis.-N.71. Cable Assn.
