The Wellington amateur championship was continued in Alcock's rooms last ni"ht, two games of 300 up each being played. In tho first game, Brice v. Moore,'the former player gave a very interesting exhibition o£ all-round billiards, and tho speed at which he played was an eye-opener, to the spectators. Mooro was unable'to settle down to liis usual game, and this appeared to give a decided advantage to his opponent. Brice reached his 300 points well ahead of Moore. , , ' Tho second game was between Stone and Tyrell, anil resulted in a win for Stone, tho final scores reading: Stone 300- 'J'vrell, 221, In this game Stone showed" to great adyantage, compiling quite a number of nice breaks through all-round billiards. The best breaks of the evening were: Brice, 25, 22. 20; Stone. 33, 28, 21; Tyrell, 21, 22, IS. . Tho competition will foe continued oi) Monday evening, when Tucker, of tho Federal Club, will meet Wakem, of the Dominion Club, and Key, of the Wellington Working Men's Club will meet Sayer, of tho Returned Soldiers Club.. . .
