"THE SCHOOL FOE SCANDAL.

! Last evening, «t the Grand Opern House, Mr, Allan Wilkio and Miss I'redJswvde Ilunter-Wutls gave the fiiwl performance of "The Midnight Wedding." Tho play went with its usual fine swing. Sheridan's beautiful P ay. llio School for Scandal" will he liiayed for two nights and one luutinee -on Saturday afternoon at 2.50. -Mr. Wilkio will appear as Sir Peter Teazle, and Miss Erediswydo Hunter-Watts will play Lady Teazle. One of the features oi tho performance to-night will i-o the beautiful minuet danced at the cincluKinn ni Hie first act. This d.niee has been specially arranged by Miss Hunter-Watts. J here will be many magriifici'iit costumes worn. The box plan is at the Bristol. CHATJTAUQUA. Tho Chautauqna season will open next Thursday in the Town Hall Concert Chamber for six days. An excellent proirramme has been arranged. Eleven lectures and twelve concerts will W. given, rile Chauhiucjim is being conducted in over eighty centres in the Dominion by the Chaiitauqua Association, Incorporated, lhe movement i.i being promoted by prominent men of New Zealand for the purpose of the educational and eoeial ad-, vancement of the pr-onle. The Chautmiqua has already appeared in Auckland and other northern centres.
