AN UNCONVENTIONAL VICAR
The Rev. George Drury, who since 1905 hns been vicar of Chasctown, near Walsall, lias accepted the rectory of Rnnd-euni-Fulnetby, near Wragby, Lines. Mr. Drury is unconventional in his methods, and he organised services in pnblichouses with astonishing success. During tlio war slr. Drury offered himself for enlistment, 'but wns rejected 0:1 account of liis age. When the food question hecanio acute he acted as parson-bellman, going out. nightly into various parts of Jus parish reading the King's Proclamation, and giving addresses upon the need for economy. He is exceedingly popular among the miners of Cannock Chasr<f mid during labour troubles ho lias attended lliMr meetings in order jo gain personal knowledge of their point of view.
