HERETAUNGA BOATING CLUB
OPENING'ON T SATURDAY.
Tho twelfth annual opening of the lleratnumra Boating Club was lied at Petone on Saturday afternoon, and was mi* of the finest gatherings of.yachtsmen vet seen on tho •Joreshore. There were about two hundred yachtsmen and Indies'from visiling clubs, including P N.Y.C Evans Bay Yacht and Evans ])nv' Motor Boat Clubs, and a similar number of lleret.iunga members and frionds. Commodore It. E. Brown welcomed the visitors, fov whom Mr. Duncm iI'.N.Y.C), Mr. Webley (Evans Bay Motor Boat Club), and Mr. Smith (E.8.Y.C.) responded. Afternoon tea was then dispensed by lady friends, to whom the thanks of oilicers and committee are tendered. ■ The following arc the results of the afternoon's racing:— _ .
