DISORDERS IN CAIRO
TROOPS FIRE ON THE RIOTERS. (Rec. November 24, 1.20 a.m.) London, November 20. The demonstrations in Cairo reached a climax when a mob, composed chiefly of students, paraded Hie streets shouting, "Down with Milnor!" They stormed the police stations. Troops were called' out to assist the police and fired on tilie rioters, killing ten and wounding over a hundred. Other Brilii.% troops, armed with sticks, ehaivd _ the demonstrators from the streets. British cavalry is now patrolling Cairo, and tilie city is reported quiet. Tho Agents-General jointly requested Lord Milner to receive a deputation regarding tho emigration rntes. 'J'hey alleged Mint tho Colonial Office prejudiced tho Australian case by agreeing to pay .-KB less a percentage for transport for British soldier emigrants.
