FERRY STEAMER MAORI'S RUN TO LYTTELTON.
Br IWoer&Dh—Prone Atiooiaxlon Chrlstchurch, November 2.1. The rehirn of the Maori to the ferry service was eignalispil to-day by a 17hours trip from Wellington to Lyttelton. The vessel left Wellington last evening at 8.30 o'clock, and did not tie up at the wharf at Lyttelton until 1.30 to-day. Tho official reasons for this Ion? trip are that the vessel met with a strong southerly, whilst only inferior coal was available. The passengers for tho South Island minsed tho second express and were compelled to remain here over the week-end.
