ANNUAL REPORT OF ASSOCIATION.
The thirteenth annual report of' the N.Z.T.N.A. .shows that there is a membership of 150 nurses, while the balancesheet shows a credit of £i 15s. 9d., which is considered particularly satisfactory in view of the fact that last year there was a deficit of .t!176 16s. Id. Mention is made of the serio'us difficulties in carrying-on the work of tho club owing to the impossibility of getting any adequate domestic service, and the increased cost of foodstuffs and wages Unoer these circumstances, of course, no provision could lie made vet for a fund to begin cxtinKuisliinK the debt on the club, and as the time for repaying the debentures is fast Tunninsr out, the position of the club's finances needs urgent consideration. Thanks are given to Mr. Petherick (accountant), and to Messrs. Meek and von Hanst (hon.. solicitors). Menlinn is made of the successful sale of cakes, etc.,. at Miss Canvell Cooke's dance recital, which brought in .E3O, ana' of tho hnt that Miss Cooke was generouslv donaliujr half the net proceeds of the recital to the club funds.
