In the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Secretary, in moving the second reading of a Bill permanentlv closing hotels at six o'clock, said the Government wanted to do justice to the liquor trade, but permanent shutting at G pirn, would bo in the best interests of the community. The Bill applies to the liquor trade, temperance Iwrs. and billiard rooms, and severe penalties are provided —Press Assn.
