« CHRISTCHUE.CH-INVBBCAEGILL EXPRESS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, November 19. At a representative meeting of town and country residents, the railway services, especially the restoration of the Christcliurch-Invercargill oxpress, were discussed, and the following resolution was carried .—"That this large and representative meeting of Christchurch residents strongly protests against tho delay in restoring tho daily_ through express sorvico between Christchurch ana , Invorcargill, and strongly supports the Canterbury Progress League in its demands for the immediate institution ot the service." It was also decided to draw the attention of tho Minister of Railways to tho urgent necessity for the improvement of the railway and coach services between Cliristehurch and Greymoutlu
