MONTHLY MEETING. (iu'om Our Special Correspondent.) Carterton, November 15. The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa and East Const P. and A. Society, was held ut Caitorton on Saturday, Mr. James Rodder, president, in the chair. Tlio treasurer's statement showed a credit at the bank of -C29G 6s. Id., receipts since last meeting being .£IB6O 13a, Gd. Accounts totalling ,£1517 13s- lOd. wcro passed for payment. Ihe secretary submitted ft statement of receipts for the years 1918 and 1!)1!),' the latter being really an estimate, which showed an increase of i4S'3 lis. as compared with 1918. The estimate!} overdraft at Hie end af tho financial year, March 31, was shown as J12098 lis. 4d., being hall account Jio23 12s. 3d. and general 'account .£1172 10s. 7d. The ordinary working account disclosed a credit of 6s. 3d., as compared with ,£ll7 10s. for the previous year's work, which was considered highly satisfactory, and tho secretary was complimented upon the work of so promptly preparing so clear a statement of the society s operations for the period under review. Mr. W. H. Booth wroto acknowledging tho society's condolence upon the death of the late Mr. A. Booth. Mr. P. Hunter was appointed the society's representative at tho annual meeting of tho New Zealand Kennel Club at Wellington on November 28. Tho New Zealand Council of.Agriculturo forwarded a copy of a number of proposed resolutions, which wero held over for consideration at a future ing-Forty-six new members were elected and seven resignations accepted.
