CRICKET
MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last evening. Mr. C. G. Wilson presided. A letter was received from Mr. L. Austin, one of tho' Wellington delegates to the New Zealand Cricket Council resigning his position owing to his projected departure, from Christchtirch at the end of the year. It was decided not to appoint a successor till next year. It was reported that certain members of the public had objected to the charge at the Basin Reserve as authorised Ij.v the City Council. The meeting decided to ask tho Police for sonic measuro of assistance to the gate-keeper. A letter was received from the Christeliurch Association suggesting that Canterbury play in Wellington at. New Year time, after playing Otago at Chrislchtirch at Christmas time. Jt is (suggested that the team then proceed on to Auckland and play there. The,letter was held over pending receipt of advice from Otago as to Wellington's proposal to play Canterbury at Christchurch at Christinas and Otago at New Year.
