There Is a double moat, and ancient flints, tiles, and sandstones have already been discovered. Members of the Berks Art Society and the Windsor and Eton Scientific and Archaeological Society visited, the place subsequently. ■ The president' of the Berks Society, Mr. Charles E. Keyser, said his society would do , everything possible to assist Captain Vaughan Williams in making his excavations. The Eev. P. H. Ditchfield, the Berkshire antiquarian, said that before Windsor Cnstlo was foundeo' there existed a; palace spmewhero in the forest, nnd among the notable events that happened there was the healing of a blind man by Edward the Confessor, who dipped his hand in water and placed it on the blino! man.
