BURNS CLUB

The monthly "social" and dance of tho Robert Bums Club was held in Ponsonby Hall on Monday night, and passed of! successfully. A fine progTammo was presented, the following taking part:— Miss Baudinet, recitations, "Tho Relief of Lucknow" and "A Wee Scots Nicht"; Mr 6. Watts, 6ong, "The Bonnio Banks o' Loch Lomond"; Miss Trim, recitations, humorous nud Shakespearean; Madame Best, humorous sketch and "Lorraine"; Mr. Henderson, song, "Micky"; littlo Helen M'Lellnn, action-songs; Misses Ncedham, Phipps, and Helen M'Lellan, Highland dancing. The pipo music was supplied by Piper Smith, of the Caledonian Society, and Mr. Hood, of Brooklyn, played tlve accompaniments.
