JUVENILE COURT
In the Juvenile Court on Saturday morning, before Mr. E. Page, S.M., a boy, nine years of nge, wns charged with a breach of (he. by-lawn. The boy, wit.j others, started a s»orso fire at Island Bay. A high wind was blowing at the time, and the City Fire Brigade wns called out. About 'half an acre of fiorse was burnt before the iire was got under control, Senior Sergeant Wade said a penalty wim not desired, but the matter had been brought before (he Court to point out the danger that existed by Mie liifhtin? of fires in the open at this period of' fclio year, and especially when a strong wind was blowin". The hid was ndinonishod and discharged, and the Magistrate adopted a similar course in the case of a litile boy who was convicted of breaking- a window value:! at 10s.
