SHOW CATERING.
There is no more popular caterer in the Manawatu district than J. the "White House," and the Manawntu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association is nnlv one of the many institutions of th.e district that fully appreciated that fact \)T according; Hie firm its patronage. On the occasion of this week's Spring Show at Palmerston, the task of providing for thfl remiiroments of the "inner man," at such «n. important event, and also of enrcving it out to the satisfaction of the -several thousands' of critics, invariably attained Herculean proportions. The work not only included the provision of an acceptable menu, but there was the waiter tax of Retting the huge quantifies of food required, well prepared, and the employment of a largo staff of capable and obliging assistants It must be apparent, therefore, that the undertaking was one out of the ordinary, and required first-class organisation. However, J. Rawlins rose lo the occasion right loyally, and all patrons to luncheon and afternoon tea during show week are unstinted in their expressions of approval of the .general arrangements maoe, and the excellent variety of edibles provided, "yesterday Their Excellencies Lord and Lady Liverpool and suite were entertained at lunch, and the Vice-Regal party united in the chorus of praise for Hie operations of "White House." Pnlmerston North. The firm thoroughly deserved the congratulations so widely and so ire-sly offered.
