The o'.osing woncs of tho Catholic Bazaar were marked by a. very largo attendance, and great cnthusxism. Tho crowd had been -attracted by the final for the heavy-weight tiug-of-war. The first on tho 'boards were Petono and Walton's tennis. Early in tho contest Dalton's team gained an inch, which they shortly increased by another half-inch, and hold steadily. Petono commenced serious work when three minutes was called, but. at first'coifd niako no impiessiou. However, tho strain proved 100 severe for Dalton's men, xitul Petono gradually drew level. Then fly a mighty heave they won an inch, which they held, then addng half an inch. At the end of five minutes they were declared tho victors amidst great applause. Tho pccoml round yaw another exciting and inId'odine contest, which resulted in a win for ller'.ihy's team l>y one inch.- Tho final for wnml prize raw o great pull between Dalton's and Herlihy's teams, the latter winning amidst, great, applause. The IVtone team was skippered by Mr. Stan Brice, and Herlihy's by Mr. J. Broivn, while Mr. D. Murphy was in chargo of Dalton's, t.ho runner-up. Tho results of the rattles and comvtitions will 1)0 published at an early data.
