The game last night between Burd (owes SO) and Ivan Ingley (owes 20) for the privilege of playing J Joy Ingley in tho final of the billiard diner tournament was well and closely contested. 'Young Ingley started off well and had soon gained a substantial lead, but Burd, playing consistently, held on tenaciously, and about half-way reached within a few points of Ins opponent. From then on it was anyone's game, until Burd missed a difficult shot and left Ingley a beautiful opening. The young player took tho fullest advantage of this, and with an uncompleted break of 3" rnn to his noinb, winning by -13.
The finiil was contested by the lngley brothers. Hoy iin-vincr to concede his brother Ivim 1?0 sturt 'in u game of 4.10 up. At the commencement the elder brother showed quite the best form, but the younger soon livened un ami made matters very interesting and diffieull; for his brother. .After MO points had been reached tliev drew very close to one another, and it. certainly locked as if the elder brother would win.
