POLICY MANIFESTO.
Melbourno, November 5. The Labour nolicv for (he elections has been issued. It states that, the party stands for the emancipation of Labour from all forms of exploitation, and for obtaining for the workers the full reward of their'industry by collective ownership and the democratic control of collcchvelyused agencies of nroduction, distribution, and exchange. The policy promises to stimulate production by guaranteeing the producer a return showing a reasonable profit and bv the provision of oversea world market's. Tho programme includes a protective tariff and the oomoulsory j n=e"of Australian products by Government contractors. It also provides for a referendum on th* auestion of recasting the Constitution, the reneal of the compulsorv clause in the Defence Act, tho nationalisation of shipping, and-assist-ance to workers to securo homes.—Press Assn.
