SHOPS LOOTED AND SACKED. Cairo, November •). Serious riots occurred at Alexandria during Ike week-end. An army ambulance driven by an Egyptian driver dashed into a procession of workers mid killed one man and injured several others. The demonstrators thereupon looted and sacked the shops in the vicinity. The riots wore quelled without military' interven-tion.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
