MAINTENANCE OV CHILDREN LEGISLATION. Sydney, November S. The Legislative Council is debating the Children's Maintenance Dill. Many of the members are showing pronounced opposition, and express the opinion that it would be preferable to accept, the Board of Trado's decision for a living wage of .83 17s— Press Assn. (Rec. A deputation of trades unions visited the Minister of Labour and protested against the Children's Maintenance Bill, alleging the possibility of a big strike unless suitable amendments were made.
