'-To-morrow morning, at jO a.m., nt the Town Hull, will see the ■ commencement of flic largest iintrsical and elocutionary competitions ever held in New; Zealand. The total entries comprise 134. lnftrumcntalist* 580 vocalists, 766 elocutionists,.2l)l national dancers, and 74 fancy dancers, making the grand lotal/well over 1800. The large Town Hall will bo devoted to instrumental and vocal music, while tno Concert Chamber will be iililiscaV for the elocution and dancing sections. Men ball will be used every morning ami afternoon, the large hall being.used for the evening concerts. Arnngements are now complete for flip-wliolo sewn, and the executive council are confident oi a successful festival. The official proernmmes may now I,e obtained at Uias.
