Fnullce made a lengthv statement containing gray? charges against the Hospital authorities D • Faulke received a heartv vote of thanks for his statement, which was listened to with interest. , ~ , •■ It was decided to take a ballot on the question of altering the present quarterly svstem of payment of subscriptions to a venrly payment. \ ballot is also to be taken to-morrow aml on Fridav for the purpose of apoointing delegates to the annual conference which is to open m Napier on December 2. Four delegates are required Jir. T. Bates was appointed returning officer, and Messrs. W. Cousins and A. W. Bevan scrutineers. A report received from Mr. Roberts (neerctnrv of the federation) regarding the constitution of the federation was adopted. , Mr. Glover presented a report: dealing, with tlio accident on the City of Winchester, as a result of which ten inert were more or less seriously gassed. An offer from tlie Working Men's Club to sell the union 550 hooks of fiction for tho union's library was accented. , Tlie executive was empowered to make preliminary arrangements for the waterside workers' annual picnic, which will take place in January.
