The Borough Council decided to-night ■to adopt a system of control of like borou<?h by a general manager, lhe council will sit practically as a board of directors, who will decide on policy matters and control finance, but the w'hole working of the council's departments, which are increasing considerably as ti'.ie result of the development of th? town, the hvdro-eleclric resources, tramways, etc., will he administered by the manager. ■ Mr. F.
