Evidence at a court-martial in Gsdway, on tho hearing of a charge against a resident of Athlone for being in possession cf seditious documents, disclosed a sensational scheme, planned on military lines, to bomb numerous police barracks and seize arms. . The instructions, which were, in code, insisted that no quarter must be'given to tho police., A court-martial has sentenced tho Sinn Fein M.P., Mr. Ernest Blythe, to a year's, imprisonment for possession o( a document advocating the persecution of relatives of the police. Father O'Domiell explains that though he drafted cablegrams to Mr. Hughes and Cardinal Mnmiix, protesting against his deportation without an opportunity to defend himself, his counsel decided not to send them. The Australian military authorities have telegraphed to Ireland summoning witnesses in the O'Domiell case, with a view to a perl (miliary investigation and the taking of summary evidence. It is unlikely that Father O'Domiell' will be eourt-mart'nlled. He desires to be demobilised, in order to bring a civil action against his accusers in Ireland. -Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. (Bee. November i, 0.15 a.m.) London, November 1. The "Daily News" demands that the O'Donnell case be cleared up by a public inquiry. It states that the caso has created a bad feeling in Ireland and given a new fillip to the Sinn Fein Party — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
