1851 EXHIBITION SCHOLAR
ME. E. A. EOWE SELECTED,
By Teleer.'ip'i—Press Association. Christchurch, November 1. The 1851 Exhibition Scholarship for this year has been awarded to Mr. Erio Arnold Eowe. of Canterbury College. Howe, who is a** 6on of Mr. T. W. Kowe, barrister and solicitor, of Christchurch, came up from Christ's College to Canterbury College in 19M with a junior university scholarship. He passed the first section of tho B.Sc. examination in 1915 and qualified for the degree iu 191G and 1917. He.obtained the degree of M.Sc. with honours in chemistry, presenting theses on colloidal particlcs .ind on certain, properties of alkaline salts. It is understood that Mr. Eowe will devoto his scholarship research work to the subject of colloidal chemistry.
