ANNUAL ROSE SHOW
Some very handsome trophies havo been donated for competition in connection with tlio Wellington Hose nnd Carnation Club's rose show, which is to 1)0 held at the Toivu Hall on November 2(i next. For six rose blooms, grown within five miles of Wellington, Messrs. Stewart, Dawson, and Co., Lid., present, a valuable silver trophy; in tho miscellaneous section Me.ssrr, Walker and Hall, Ltd., present a trophy to the value of .M lor the best collection of llowcr and foliage plants grown in pots. A feature, of the slow should bo (ho lass for dccoratod tables and that for suburban rose-growers. In the former, which is open to lady competitors only, the president (Mr. J. Ji Harcotirl) oilers a valuable prize. In the suburban section, in addition to prises offered hv the club, Ali-s. S. KirUcnldic's special prize will be awarded to the grower of the best exhibit. Miss If. M. Joseph donates special prizes for tlio best cottage garden display. Thero will also lit the usual challenge, trophies and prizes awarded to the different sections by the club.
