N.Z. ASSOCIATION MEETING. / . The annual meting of the New Zealand Plowing /.ssoeialion was held last evening, Mr. E. times presiding. The annual report and balance-sheet, which disclosed a- satisfactory financial liosition and indicated every prospect of a good season, were read and adopted. •Referring to the fact that there were thirty-four clubs affiliated to- the associatioii the hope was expressed that the forthcoming season would result in the sport of rowing becoming one of the foremost branches, of athletic sports. After a lapse of five yours championship events would again be contested during the present season, and from reports received it was fully anticipated that a largo number of clubs would lie represented. Certain proposals respecting the qualifications of a- junior to become a senior, which necessitated an alteration to tho rules, were not agreed to. The boat rowed by the New Zealand crew at Henley was brought lo New Zealand recently on the 'J'ainui,. and has been presented to the association. In ropiv to an application that the boat should be handed over to the Union Club (Wanganui! for use. it was decided to give the use of the craft to the Union Olub, although Ihe association is siilj to retain tho ownership. Unhides tho museum, Ihere is the Burba- Hall, one "f the exhibits of the Indian flovernment al tho Indian and Colonial Exhibition in ISM. Tho contents of the museum were collected by the late Lady Brassey during the various voyages of Ihe Sunbeam, and one object is a child's toy-boat found floating hundreds of miles from land. Lady Tlrassoy's manuscripts and original drawings are also included.' The famous, yacht Sunbeam has been presented by Lord Hra'sey to Ihe Naulioal College at Pnngnourrie on the Thames, for the training of tho cadets.
