A military wedding of interest took place at Knowlo Parish Church (Warwickshire, England), on September 10, when Mr. Neville Wallace- Gilbert, N.Z.E.F. (Anznc), youngest son of the lato Mr. T. Gilbert and Mrs. Gilbert, cf Woodville, New Zealand, was married to Miss Muriol Alice Watson, third daughter of Mr. ,T. A. Watson, of Chadwick Manor, Knowle, where the ceremony was performed by tho Rev. T. W. Downing. Very beautiful music was played by Dr. Haydock, of Manchester and Disley,. including a fine inarch which ho had composed for tho occasion, and wedding hymns were sung by tho choir, Tho bridesmaids were Mis 3 Violot Wateon and Miss Doris Woodhead, Two little ohildren, Mary Patterson and Phillip Stanloy Patterson, • were the train-bear-ers. Tho best man was Mr. Trevor White, • N.Z.E.F., of Wellington. There was a large attendance at tho church, as the brido and hor family are wellknown in tho Mid-Warwickshire district, and rmioh kindly interest was manifested in tho wedding. Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Gilbert left for a tour of tho Lakes district after a reception had been held at C'nadwiok Manor. Tho future residence of the brido and bridegroom will bo in Warwickshire, England, A euchre party and dance arranged' by tho letter-carriers of Wellington, tho first of a series to be held fortnightly, took place in the Alexandra Hall last evening, and was very successful. There | were about ten tables for tho euchro, and prizes had been offered for tho winners of tho tournament. Tho committee responsible for tho arrangements comprised Messrs. Hedges, Thompson, Studlev. Holliwell. and Balo (hon. secretary), and the M.C.'s for -the dancing were Messrs. Hedges ..and ... Holliwell. Miss Murphy provided the music.

Tho former wore biscuit crepe do chine, with large black net hat finished with streamers, and carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas, and tho latter was in cream, with a black hat. Sho also carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas. M>r. Vincent Koacho was best man. After tho wedding a reception was held at tho rest- ' donee of tho bride's mother, only immediate relatives being present Mtb. Mooney wore black glace, with a white hat .trimmed with ospreye.
